Major Unexpected Upcoming Updates

1. Saint Bard & Sacred Guard + Bree Leith Gimmick Overhaul (Adding DPS to Saint Bard)

2. Dungeon structure changes: Bree Leith Rift of Faith -> May: Crom Bás Highest Difficulty -> September: Golias (Armor Rewards)

Currently, it's hard to start Bree Leith parties quickly due to a lack of Saint Bards, so there have been requests to reduce the reliance on mandatory talents.
The situation was worse when Forbidden Alchemist provided synergies, but it has improved slightly since then.
There were also requests to give Saint Bards damaging skills because they underperform in lower-tier dungeons, but I didn't expect such a sudden announcement.
Seeing the monsters in G28 Golias having patterns made me expect a new dungeon there, but the Crom Bás update was unexpected.

February Update

Gold

- Overall gold supply will increase through Tech Duinn (Hard), Crom Bás (Easy), and Glenn Bearna (Easy).

- Gold rewards for dungeons entered via passes or Neamhain/Cichol (Near) will be maintained.

- The goal is not to reduce the gold supply.

From the perspective of those running Crom Bás (Normal) or Glenn Bearna (Normal), sharing keys with Easy mode might actually decrease gold income if you can't run Easy. I hope they increase rewards for Normal mode as well.

Bree Rift of Faith, Crom Glenn Easy Reward Overhaul

Bree Leith Halls 1-3

- Will provide higher gold rewards than Glenn Bearna.

Since the price of Holy Water continues to drop, the number of entries has been limited. Increased gold rewards should help cover entry costs, likely increasing the minimum number of runs players can do.

Bree Leith Rift of Faith

- Reward overhaul for Rift of Faith as mentioned in the previous live stream.

- Planned gold rewards will be higher than Bree Leith Halls 1-3.

Currently, Bree Leith rewards are perceived as poor excluding the Music/Magic titles and Bonus Damage miniatures. Since it's an 8-player dungeon, I think basic rewards should be increased for those who only clear Hall 3.
Also, if rewards only drop at extremely low rates, it's hard to feel their value. I hope they include a mix of low and medium-probability rewards.

Crom Bás & Glenn Bearna Easy Reward Overhaul

- Rewards for Crom/Glenn Easy were worse than Tech Duinn.

- Easy and Normal modes will now share reward counts.

- Gold acquisition will increase in Easy mode, and crafting materials (e.g., Glas Ghaibhleann's organs) will drop.

- Crom Bás Easy rewards increased by 1.5x; Glenn Bearna Easy by 3.2x.

As mentioned before, if they only buff Easy mode, those running Normal might see a net decrease in gold. Rewards for Normal should also be increased to match the logic of splitting the modes.

Master Update

- Rescheduled to February 26th.

- Timeline adjusted to prioritize dungeon updates.

This seems to be an effort to ensure content stability as mentioned in previous broadcasts. I hope more details on the Master rank are revealed in the February 10th live stream.
Taillteann Farm values are currently low; shouldn't they inject some excitement into it?

Bank NPC Additions

- Banks added near the entrances of Bree Leith and Glenn Bearna.

It was very inconvenient having to go back and forth to Dunbarton just to buy Elixirs of Reality.

Glowing Marble Dungeon Red Box Equipment Selection

- Ability to choose contents of the Chain Slasher Eiren Outfit Box and Saints Guardian Outfit Box.

- If you already own the gear, coins might be considered as an alternative (likely Perseus/Revenant Epic or Master coins). Likely scheduled for the March update.

Age 20 Potion Regular Sale

- If delayed in February, it will be announced again in the live stream.

- Will be sold on a 3-month trial basis before gathering more feedback.

They seem to care deeply about the in-game "atmosphere"... if so, they should also reconsider modern pets like buses, karts, and scooters.
Since Giants are already larger than some buildings, I don't think large characters are a problem for the atmosphere.

Crusader Skill Training Eased

- Improvements to allow solo training.

Unless they plan to revitalize Apostle Raids (which require a specific number of players), people won't do them. Massive easing of these skill requirements is necessary.

March Update

Tech Duinn Reward Changes

Tech Duinn

- Many users were unhappy with the lowered entry barrier and lack of places to farm due to weekly limits.

- Added Tech Duinn (Hard) accessible via passes (length and rewards similar to pre-NEW RISE) / No weekly limit.

- Aimed at being a gold-farming dungeon.

- Can enter with a single pass as before.

- Rewards found in Refined Dungeons + NPC shops + dungeon reward boxes.

- Hard mode gold reward estimated at 300k~350k gold.

It's good to have more places to play, but many are worried about the impact of multi-clienting.

Precise Reforging Tools

- Precise Reforging Tools will be sold for gold.

- Exact price not revealed, but used Commerce Ducats as an example.

Based on current gold-to-ducat ratios, I expect them to cost 500k~1.5m gold with a weekly limit of 5.

Tara Auction Overhaul

- New items added.

- Murias Relics and Step 8 Upgrade Stones will be included.

- Prices will be adjusted to match market rates.

Including Murias Relics and Step 8 stones suggests the devs view Rift of Faith as the current end-game over base Bree Leith.
Regarding dungeon value: previously, end-game items in the Tara Auction sold for higher than market price.
However, unlike before, the Auction House and API sites now clearly show market prices, so they shouldn't sell blindly high. I hope the supply of Bree Leith items through this method remains low.

Shadow Missions

- Reward design is crucial when adding missions.

- Not intended as end-game, but as additional "things to do."

- New Shadow Missions planned.

When "Shadow World Champion" and "Sniper Challenge" were released, they successfully filled the gap for mid-tier enchants. Everyone ran them for those drops.
Now, since we already have Veteran/Glenn-tier enchants and mid-tier weapons, I'm worried about what meaningful rewards they can offer.

Alchemic Stinger Elemental Locking

I know there's a targeting bug caused by elemental issues; I hope this fixes it.

Dungeon Logout Penalty Easing

- Improved so penalties don't linger after clearing a dungeon.

I thought this was overhauled once before, but it seemed to return after NEW RISE... Am I remembering wrong? Not being able to move for several minutes after clearing Glowing Marble is very frustrating.

April Update

Role distribution was key when Arcana launched. However, certain roles became too over-emphasized in Bree Leith. The plan is to maintain roles while ensuring no specific Arcana is overly mandatory. Support roles will stay, but the overhaul is for progression.

Saint Bard, Sacred Guard Overhaul + Bree Leith Gimmick Redesign

Opinions on Saint Bard and Sacred Guard overhauls were presented first.
There have been constant requests to improve Sacred Guard's melee auto-defense (DPS aspect), Saint Bard's DPS (for lower-tier progression + the ability to clear mobs in Crom Bás solo using Soul Lira), and complaints that parties can't start without a Saint Bard. Still, this sudden overhaul feels a bit startling.
If Saint Bard gets DPS, balancing will be hard. If it's too weak, people will just use a Scythe; if it's too strong, they could solo everything with survival and self-buffs. I've seen Bards become the top DPS/Healer in other games...
Since most users didn't specifically ask for Bard DPS, I expect some backlash. A vote might have been better.
I hope the patch goes well, but I'm worried. I wonder if they added DPS because Saint Bards have more free time due to the debuff patches.
Sacred Guard seems to have been prepared since G28 Golias. I noticed patterns in G28 Part 1 that focus on a single target; perhaps SG will now draw aggro during specific windows instead of constant maintenance. SGs felt mandatory in Bree Leith, but even "Pizza" patterns can be cleared without them now. I'm anxious yet curious to see the changes.
Gimmick improvements will inevitably make things easier for some and harder for others. I wonder if the overall difficulty can be maintained.

Saint Bard Overhaul

- Adding meaningful attack skills (scaling with Recovery/Healing Power).

- Can "borrow" skills from other talents (e.g., Starry Magician) to deal damage (though it may be weaker than Soul Liberate Scythe+Orb).

- Focus on adding DPS while maintaining healing capabilities.

- Mechanics: Buffing with instruments (like Vivace), then dealing damage based on Healing Wand recovery stats.

- Mentioned that Music/Magic stats will be converted to Attack Power.

- Goal: Weaker than pure DPS, but capable of solo hunting.

- Designed not to strictly require Ruination Robes.

- Added Spirit Weapon compatibility for Healing Wands.

Sacred Guard Overhaul

- Strengthening DPS while maintaining Sacrifice and Taunt.

- Taunt will no longer be maintainable near 100% of the time.

- Defense stats from current gear will influence damage output.

- Taunting will provide more combat advantages, allowing SG to shine in Bree Leith.

- Removing permanent taunt won't change the difficulty or reduce the SG's importance.

- Concept: A DPS tankier than a pure aggro-puller(?).

Bree Leith Gimmick Redesign

- Gimmicks that force an SG will be modified (e.g., other DPS can perform the "Pizza" pattern, though it might be easier for an SG).

- This does not mean Bree Leith will become "easier."

- Patterns like "Pizza" aren't being removed; they are being changed so other Arcanas can participate.

Cooldown Reset on Dungeon Entry

- More important for Retries than initial entry.

- Added specifically for Bree Leith Retries.

Did they not realize that retrying during the 35% -> 25% phase of Rift of Faith required waiting for Time Shift cooldowns? We've asked for Technique cooldown resets since Bree Leith launched... Better late than never, but with Crom Bás highest difficulty coming in May, it feels like this fix is for a dungeon that's about to be surpassed.

May Update

Adding Crom Bás Highest Difficulty

Crom Bás Highest Difficulty Addition

- New difficulty tier beyond Rift of Faith.

- Planned new gimmicks (excluding the frustrating "unfair" mechanics of the past).

- New rewards to be added.

- To respect the effort of "front-line" players, difficulty easing will be avoided unless it's to fix bugs.

Bree Leith has been eased too much. 6-player parties clear it without Ruination Robes, and I've seen 2-player clears where one person only had Nightbringer weapons.
Bree Leith Halls 1-3 difficulty is currently in a strange state. This new dungeon seems aimed at filling the content gap for high-tier players while adding Rift of Faith rewards.
Since armor is linked to Golias, I wonder what rewards this will give.
Since Dropbells came from Crom Bás and Wings from Crom boxes, maybe we'll get robe-slot or accessory rewards?

Arcana Balance

- Since many players can't start parties due to a lack of SB/SG, those take priority.

- Will proceed after the SB/SG overhauls.

- Planned overhaul of all 8 Arcanas at once.

- Scheduled for May after the launch of new Arcanas.

They are moving faster than expected on this.
I'm both excited and worried about what they have prepared; some skills need very bold overhauls.

Bree Leith Practice Mode

It feels like they are adding this because it's no longer the absolute end-game dungeon.

September Update

New End-game Dungeon: Golias

Golias Dungeon Addition

- Provides armor superior to the Blaanid/Villian series.

- NPC featured in G28.

- Focus on "Honor" and special rewards.

- Like the new Crom difficulty, there will be no artificial difficulty adjustments unless fixing bugs.

- Devs are reflecting on the frequent difficulty tweaks made to Bree Leith.

- Planned with multiple difficulty tiers (from low to highest).

- Goals and rewards will be appropriately balanced for each tier.

- Not an 8-player dungeon.

They kept mentioning "Honor" and "Rewards." I'm worried about how they will actually deliver on "Honor."
First-clear and fastest-clear titles for Rift of Faith didn't even have visual effects. If they do an event like that again, it needs to look impressive.
September is after the Fantasy Party, so I expect many details to be revealed then.
As an armor dungeon, I'm finally hoping Alchemic Stingers can stop wearing Bohemian sets.
Since mid-tier difficulties are coming, I hope mid-tier armor releases alongside them so we can finally move on from Bohemian to Villian or something equivalent.
Excluding Starry Magician, only Ninjutsu and Chain Arcanas remain. If two new Arcanas launch in the summer, maybe armor effects will be overhauled to focus on Arcanas? That might lead to a lot of re-reforging.
I hope the release of new armor fixes the issue where Heavy Armor Gauntlets can't be transferred to Light Gauntlets.

Miscellaneous

Life Skills

- Life skills are considered very important.

- Additional updates will come during the Master update and continue thereafter.

I thought summer was for combat and winter for life skills, but since combat users weren't satisfied with the summer patch and life skillers weren't satisfied with winter, it feels like they are over-correcting with combat patches now.

Field Bosses

- Direction for overhauls is being considered, but progression systems take priority for now.

Combat Analyzer (DPS Meter)

- Voting is ongoing; will be discussed in the February live stream.

I just want to know my character's growth. Even if it's not a full analyzer, I'd like:
1. A total "Combat Power" score combining Gear (Reforges/Enchants) + Skills + Homestead bonuses.
2. A UI to check detailed stats like Critical Damage, Bonus Damage, and Crit Rate.
Currently, to check damage after changing an item, you have to hit a dummy in Tir Chonaill. To know Crit Damage, you have to manually check skill ranks, weapons, homesteads, totems, etc.

Chronicle Missions

- No immediate plans to add more.

- Will consider after other updates.

Ruination Robe Equipment Tier

- Considering adding equipment tiers to it.

- Unlikely to be added to the Glowing Marble Dungeon rewards.

Mag Mell

- Dungeon overhauls discussed today take priority.

Visual Effect Improvements

- Definitely planned, but will take time.

- Adding simple fixes first.

Because of visual effect issues, I'm not even buying Spirit Transformations and can't use the ones I have...

False Report Notes

- Reporting doesn't lead to an automatic ban.

- Overhauling to send an automated note once reports reach a certain threshold.

- Targeting February; otherwise, March update.

Nightbringer Instruments

- Not planned for addition currently.

I think the lack of dungeon-dropped instruments is the issue. Could we at least get reforged Gloomy Sundays added?

Soul Liberate Atlatl

- Existing Arcana balance is more important right now.

Piercing Overhaul

- Agreed that an overhaul is needed.

- Being prepared carefully.

- Aiming for the release window of the next tier of weapons.

- Might happen sooner, but current planning is for the next weapon tier.

A piercing overhaul affects existing skill damage, so it's a huge task.
For example, ignoring Arcanas, a 0-piercing Vagabond might end up stronger than a 7-piercing Warlord.

Fynni Blooming

- Blooming was never the intended way to play.

I expect they will encourage playing a single character rather than multi-character farming.

Doll Bags

- AI and performance have been improved before.

- Preparing another improvement attempt for March.

Please just make them like MapleStory's vacuum pets... do you really think that would increase gold supply too much?

Rage Impact Improvement

- Judged unnecessary as it's part of the standard DPS cycle.

Not just Elemental Knights, but Blunt/Knuckle/Puppet users also benefit from Rage Impact. Is the GIF below really considered a "normal" DPS cycle? They should limit Rage Impact to Close Combat/Elemental Knight/Sacred Guard and then adjust Blunt damage.

Puppetry + Rage Impact.webp

Skill Targeting Improvements

- Targeting allies for Forbidden Alchemist synergies.

- Saint Bard's Healing Hand.

We desperately need a dedicated Healing UI... people have been asking for this since the Glenn Bearna launch.

Accessory Reforge Succession

- Current tier system is insufficient.

- It's also a matter of revenue.

Reforging accessories is so painful. I actually appreciate them being honest about the revenue impact.
We pay because it's hard.

Multi-Clienting

- Will be handled eventually.

Octopus/Squid Chew Sales

- No issue with it as a gold-making method.

Due to dungeon limits and lack of gold sources, people sell "Charred Octopus Chew" and "Chewy Baby Octopus Chew" to earn gold.
Since it involves gathering octopus via Part-Time Jobs and using reforged Fynn Bells, they seem to leave it alone because it's single-character work and involves gear investment.

Lance Charge Desync

- Occurs whenever movement speeds change.

- It's a movement speed issue, so constant fixes are needed.

- Another improvement attempt planned for March.
